Anhui Medical University First Affiliated Hospital Endocrinology and Metabolism has developed since the late 1970s into a recognized modern specialty, with 171 beds, 87 staff and over 180,000 outpatient visits annually. It provides precise thyroid/parathyroid, diabetic-foot, pituitary/adrenal/gonadal and metabolic lifestyle medicine, including ultrasound-guided biopsy, ablation, negative-pressure wound therapy, stem-cell treatment, endocrine testing, exercise and nutrition programs. It is a national standardized metabolic-management center and provincial training and quality-control base.
