Puji Outpatient Department

The Puji Outpatient Department is located at the Puji Campus of Dongguan People's Hospital, on Mingxin Street, Guangming Avenue, Dongcheng District, with convenient transport access. It covers a site area of 7,380 square meters, with a total construction area of 16,000 square meters and a building five storeys high. The whole building is centrally air-conditioned; the facilities are advanced, the layout and zoning are well organised, the consulting rooms are well ventilated, the corridors are wide and unobstructed, and the environment is elegant.

The Puji Outpatient Department currently operates more than 20 clinical specialties and functional examination rooms, including emergency medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, the stomatology center, traditional Chinese medicine, the clinical laboratory, pathology, radiology, the gastrointestinal endoscopy room, the day surgery operating room, and the blood transfusion department.

The Puji Outpatient Department has more than 100 intermediate and senior medical and technical staff, including more than twenty senior physicians. Its medical equipment is advanced, and it is equipped with a range of modern diagnostic and therapeutic devices, including magnetic resonance and spiral CT, a 500 mA X-ray machine, an electronic gastroscope, a colposcope, a complete set of advanced laboratory equipment, and dermatology treatment equipment.

The North District Outpatient Department is located next to Parking Lot No. 2 of the Puji Campus of Dongguan People's Hospital. It was put into use in September 2024 and currently provides child health care, the child mental health center, dermatology, and rehabilitation medicine outpatient services.

Overview of the floor distribution of the Second Outpatient Department

Level 1 (ground floor): Emergency and first aid comprehensive ward, with 5 resuscitation beds, 16 observation beds and 9 beds in the emergency comprehensive ward. Infusion center, blood collection room, registration and payment office, Chinese and Western pharmacies, customer service center, bed management center, radiology.

Level 2: Internal medicine — comprising the specialties of general internal medicine, neurology, cardiovascular medicine, medical oncology, hematology and lymphoma, radiotherapy, nephrology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, respiratory and critical care medicine, hepatology, rheumatology and psychology.

Surgery — comprising the specialties of hepatobiliary and thyroid surgery, interventional and vascular surgery, urology, neurosurgery, breast surgery, orthopedic surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, anorectal surgery, hand surgery, pain medicine and gastrointestinal surgery.

Pediatrics — pediatric diagnosis and treatment, with child growth and development, pediatric respiratory asthma, neonatology and general pediatrics outpatient clinics.

Stomatology — comprising specialised functional rooms for orthodontics, dental implants, prosthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, oral medicine, periodontology, dental disease prevention, pediatric dentistry and cosmetic dentistry.

Gynecology outpatient clinic — as an important diagnostic and treatment department of the hospital, it has long been committed to providing comprehensive, professional and personalised medical services for women. Characteristic diagnostic and treatment items: diagnosis and treatment of dysmenorrhea, screening and treatment of cervical diseases, gynecological endocrine diagnosis and treatment, comprehensive menopause management, and prevention and treatment of female reproductive tract infections.

Obstetrics outpatient clinic — covering full-cycle services for women of childbearing age, with a prenatal diagnosis clinic, a pregnancy care clinic, a family planning clinic and a maternity school; it focuses on pregnancy health care education, high-risk pregnancy, monitoring of fetal growth and development, risk factor management and complication assessment, and pre-delivery condition assessment and education.

Traditional Chinese medicine — comprising TCM expert specialist consulting rooms.

Level 1 (ground floor): Child health care room — comprising a child health examination consulting room, an intellectual development room and a hearing and vision screening room. Characteristic programs of the child health care center: child health examinations, intellectual development, vision screening, brainstem auditory evoked potential, neurobehavioral assessment, infant bone mineral density measurement, transcutaneous bilirubin measurement, and disease and health counseling.

Child mental health center — the child mental health center is dedicated to providing high-quality mental health services for children and adolescents aged 0–18, and provides treatment for various developmental disorders, behavioral disorders and psychological disorders of children and adolescents, such as depression, autism spectrum disorder, specific learning disorder, tic disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, psychosomatic diseases, somatic symptom and related disorders, eating disorders, sleep disorders and internet addiction, as well as other mental disorders and psychological problems of children and adolescents.

The child mental health center uses a multidisciplinary diagnostic and treatment model involving child psychiatry, child psychology, rehabilitation and education to carry out individualised comprehensive interventions combining psychotherapy and biological treatment, such as individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, family therapy, child-centered play therapy, sand tray play therapy, social skills training, training courses for children with ADHD and their parents, mindfulness therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, relaxation therapy, biofeedback therapy and transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy.

Level 2: Dermatology — with dermatology and venereology specialty, dermatology specialty, and a cryotherapy room, among others. Characteristic dermatology diagnostic and treatment services: fruit acid chemical peels, mole removal, wart removal, scar treatment, various forms of phototherapy, liquid nitrogen cryotherapy, and treatment of severe refractory skin diseases with biologic agents.

Rehabilitation — with a rehabilitation medicine outpatient clinic, an acupuncture rehabilitation clinic, and botulinum toxin treatment, among others.
