Puwan Campus Orthopedics Department

The Department of Orthopedics of Dayi Second Hospital is a specialized department integrating medical care, scientific research, and teaching, dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of various orthopedic diseases. At present, the department has 9 officially appointed physicians, including 2 chief physicians and 7 attending physicians. All of the attending physicians have worked at Dayi First Hospital and Dayi Second Hospital for nearly 10 years. Two physicians hold doctoral degrees, 7 hold master's degrees, and 1 is a master's supervisor.

The department currently has 42 beds and is equipped with top-level domestic medical equipment, including a digital operating room, high-definition arthroscopes, a transforaminal endoscopy system, and a high-definition surgical operating microscope.

The Department of Orthopedics at the Puwan Campus continues the fine traditions of the Department of Orthopedics at Dayi Second Hospital and performs the same types of surgical procedures as the main hospital. The department's diagnostic and treatment services mainly cover various orthopedic diseases, including the diagnosis and treatment of common and frequently occurring spinal diseases, surgery for acute and chronic diseases of the joint system, emergency and critical care management of fractures of the extremities, and refined diagnosis and treatment in microsurgery. The department is proficient in advanced domestic technical concepts and methods. Under the leadership of Director Zheng Lianjie, former chairman of the Orthopedics Branch of the Dalian Medical Association, it performs various complex emergency and critical orthopedic operations, with a number of surgical techniques reaching leading levels in Dalian and advanced levels nationally.
