Dermatology Department
I. Discipline Overview
The Department of Dermatology of the Second Hospital of Dalian Medical University was founded in 1958, moved south to Zunyi with Dalian Medical University in 1968, and returned to Dalian in 1987. Its founders, Professors Yao Jitang, Zhou Hui, Zhang Yongsheng, and others, were all renowned experts. Through the joint, unremitting efforts of several generations, it is now a key discipline of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a key clinical specialty of Liaoning Province, and a “first-level key medical discipline” of Dalian. It is a National Drug Clinical Trial Base, the Chinese Medical Association’s “Atopic Dermatitis Research Center,” and a “provincial sentinel unit for monitoring adverse reactions to cosmetics in Liaoning Province.” Through the joint, unremitting efforts of several generations, our department has developed into a specialized department with complete infrastructure, a strong faculty, and outstanding medical capabilities.
