Gynecology Department II

Gynecology Department II of the Second Hospital of Dalian Medical University is a disease diagnosis and treatment center specializing in gynecologic oncology, an authorized master's degree program in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a specialist physician training base in Liaoning Province. The ward currently has 27 beds and is capable of diagnosing and treating severe, suspected, difficult, and acute conditions within the specialty, as well as performing surgeries of all levels.

With the new breakthroughs in the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer, and cervical cancer in recent years, the department has actively carried out genetic testing to guide individualized treatment. At the same time, it collaborates with the Departments of Medical Oncology, Radiology, Pathology, Interventional Medicine, and Anesthesiology to implement a multidisciplinary team model (MDT). For patients with complex tumors, standardized and individualized treatment is provided, combining meticulous surgery with systemic chemotherapy, intraperitoneal perfusion chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiotherapy, and interventional therapy, among others, to provide precisely tailored integrated services and the optimal treatment plan for patients. The department is proficient in performing various surgical treatments that preserve fertility in patients with malignant tumors, such as robot-assisted radical trachelectomy + pelvic lymphadenectomy, enabling many young patients to receive treatment for malignant tumors while effectively preserving their fertility.
