Anesthesiology Department IV

Under the leadership of the hospital's leadership team and successive directors, and through the unremitting efforts of several generations, the Department of Anesthesiology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University has now developed into a large-scale discipline integrating clinical anesthesia, the post-anesthesia recovery unit, pain diagnosis and treatment, and the Anesthesiology Teaching and Research Office, and is one of the anesthesiology disciplines with the strongest technical capabilities in the southern Liaoning region. In 2012 it was awarded the title of "Liaoning Province Inhalation Anesthesia Training and Teaching Center"; in 2016 it was designated by the Anesthesiologists Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association as the "Comfort-oriented Medical Care Training Base of the First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University"; and in 2017 it was rated a key specialty of Liaoning Province. The department has also repeatedly won the hospital's Advanced Unit in Department Management award and Discipline Development awards.

The Fourth Anesthesiology Department, relying on the Department of Anesthesiology and serving as the leading department of comfort-oriented diagnosis and treatment, upholds the patient-centered philosophy and works unremittingly in standardizing medical practice, improving the quality of anesthesia, carrying out clinical technology innovation, promoting the concept of translational medicine, and enhancing the comprehensive capabilities of medical and nursing staff in clinical care, teaching, and scientific research, as well as building a high-level talent team, in order to achieve the goal of providing high-quality medical services.
