Coronary Heart Disease Department I

Coronary Heart Disease Unit I focuses on diagnosis and interventional treatment of coronary disease. It was among China's first centers to perform coronary angiography, PTCA and stenting, pioneered IABP for acute myocardial infarction and cardiogenic shock in southern Liaoning, and has achieved over 98% procedural success, with high-risk lesions exceeding 50% of interventions. It opened a coronary clinic in 2007, established a database and follow-up system, became a Ministry of Health training base in 2008 and a national clinical key specialty in 2011. It has completed many national and provincial research projects and published over 100 papers, including 16 indexed by SCI.
