Shanghai DeltaHealth Medical’s Department of Anesthesiology is an important department within the cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment platform and can provide anesthesia for all types of surgery and perioperative management, from surgical anesthesia to postoperative analgesia, from sedation to monitored anesthesia care, and from the operating room to non-operating-room settings, placing the patient at the center and implementing a safety-first management philosophy to relieve patients’ tension, anxiety, and pain before and after surgery and promote rapid recovery. Professor Wang Weipeng serves as Director of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, while Professor Jiang Zhen serves as a consultant; together, they lead highly qualified, high-caliber, and highly skilled anesthesiologists and anesthesia nurses in providing clinical anesthesia and safeguarding clinical diagnosis and treatment.

The Department of Anesthesiology is equipped with advanced anesthesia machines and monitoring equipment, such as visualization equipment (fiberoptic bronchoscope, video laryngoscope, transesophageal echocardiography, and video-guided double-lumen endotracheal intubation), a cerebral oxygen saturation monitor, electroencephalographic bispectral index monitoring, and a full range of invasive and noninvasive hemodynamic monitoring, helping ensure the perioperative monitoring of patients’ vital signs. All anesthesiologists have undergone postgraduate education (including those currently enrolled), have received systematic clinical professional and technical training in China, are proficient in various anesthesia methods and perioperative monitoring techniques, and have mastered various emergency rescue protocols; in collaboration with the DeltaHealth medical team, they have successfully treated critically ill patients and patients with complex diseases, enabling patients to regain confidence in life.
