Pediatric Eye Diseases
Visual function is one of the most important sensory functions of the human body. 80% of the information humans receive from the outside world comes through the eyes. The age range of 0-6 years is a critical period for children's visual development; eye diseases during childhood seriously harm children's visual development, and the development of the eyes during this stage has a decisive impact on a child's entire life. Many eye diseases, if not detected and treated in a timely manner, will result in lifelong visual disability. To provide a good platform for receiving medical care to pediatric patients with eye diseases, our hospital established a dedicated pediatric ophthalmology department from the outset. For eye diseases such as strabismus in children/adults, amblyopia, myopia, diplopia, nystagmus, and other eye diseases, the physicians in the pediatric ophthalmology department will select an appropriate diagnostic and treatment approach for each patient with an eye disease, helping them receive treatment for their eye disease as early as possible!
