Pathology

The Pathology Department of Chongqing Songshan Hospital was established under the leadership of Shi Pingxia, deputy chief physician, former chair of the Pathology Branch of the Baoji Medical Association in Shaanxi Province and former director and chief expert of the Pathology Department of Baoji Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Baoji Pathology Consultation Center). The department’s staffing structure is becoming increasingly well balanced. It currently has 6 staff members, including 2 with master’s degrees and 4 with bachelor’s degrees; 1 deputy chief physician, 1 attending physician, and 1 supervising technician. All technical staff hold the relevant national professional qualifications. The department is equipped with advanced medical devices, including the Leica HistoCore BIOCUT new microtome, Leica CM1950 cryostat microtome, Leica ASP 300S automatic tissue processor, Leica Autostainer XL-CV5030 fully automatic staining and coverslipping system, LeicaDM 3000 high-definition biological microscope, DM 2500 multi-observer microscope, and the Langjia pathology report system. These devices enable the department to provide accurate and efficient pathological testing and diagnostic services for clinical practice.
