The Department of Thoracic Surgery of Chongqing Haijia Hospital was established at the inception of the hospital under the leadership of Professor Wen Jianhu, a cardiothoracic surgery expert, and was among the first group of clinical departments established by the hospital. The department has a strong team of physicians, and all its medical and nursing staff come from Grade A tertiary hospitals across China, with extensive clinical experience. The department currently has advanced medical equipment, including high-definition thoracoscopes, ultrasonic scalpels, intracavitary hyperthermic perfusion systems, and pulmonary nodule ablation systems. Since the department was established in 2018, it has placed patients at the center, upheld the hospital motto “Make medical care warmer and life healthier,” and worked diligently to put into practice the principle of “everything for patients, for every patient, and everything patients need.” With the goal of “building a first-class cardiothoracic surgery department in Chongqing,” it has developed into a key hospital department characterized by Western medicine as its foundation, integrated Chinese and Western medicine, and minimally invasive surgery.
