Medical Imaging

The Department of Medical Imaging of Chongqing Hygeia Hospital consists of the Department of Radiology, the PET-CT Center, and the Interventional Center. The department is equipped with advanced equipment: 1 GE 256-row, 512-slice ultra-high-end CT (Revolution), 1 3.0T MRI, 1 United Imaging 1.5T MRI, 1 GE 64-row, 128-slice spiral CT, 1 United Imaging 16-row spiral CT; 1 Philips unit; 1 Siemens PET-CT, 1 large-scale Siemens DSA, 1 imported DR, 1 dual-energy X-ray densitometer, 1 fully digital mammography unit, 1 PACS system, and 1 set of AI analysis software; the department’s equipment has reached the advanced level of Grade III-A hospitals throughout the city. The Department of Medical Imaging currently has 25 staff members, including 9 physicians, 1 chief physician, 13 associate chief physicians, and 6 attending physicians, including 5 master’s degree candidates; 8 technologists and 8 nurses. The academic leader has served as chairperson of the Medical Imaging Special Committee of the 3rd/4th Chongqing Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, a member of the Radiology Professional Committee of the Chongqing Medical Association and leader of its Interventional Group, deputy chairperson of the Oncology Interventional Special Committee of the Chongqing Anti-Cancer Association, a standing committee member of the Radiologists Branch of the Chongqing Medical Doctor Association, a consulting expert on the management of large medical equipment in Chongqing, an expert in the assessment of graded hospitals in Chongqing, a radiology quality-control expert in Chongqing, a medical accident appraisal expert in Chongqing, an editorial board member of the Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine Imaging, and a reviewer for the Journal of Laboratory Medicine and Clinical; currently serves as a member of the Oncology Interventional Special Committee of the Interventional Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, deputy chairperson of the Radiology Professional Committee of the Chongqing Association of Social Medical Institutions, an expert in labor-capacity appraisal in the High-Tech Zone, a member of the Shapingba District Medical Accident Appraisal Committee, and a radiological appraisal expert of the Chongqing Medical Association. The department’s key professional personnel also serve as youth committee members of the Nuclear Medicine Professional Committee of the Chongqing Medical Association and hold other positions.
