The wards include the Gynecology Ward, the Obstetrics Ward, the International Department Ward and Gynecology Ward III, four wards in total, with 108 beds.
Diagnostic and treatment equipment: The department possesses advanced equipment such as the da Vinci Xi surgical robotic system, 4K laparoscopy system, 4K hysteroscopy and flexible hysteroscopy systems, urodynamic testing equipment, pelvic floor rehabilitation treatment devices, electronic colposcopes, photodynamic therapy devices and ultrasound imaging; the Cervical Lesion Center has an independent laboratory and can carry out various examinations and treatments for cervical lesions.
Clinical features of the department:
Gynecology: 1. Gynecological oncology: The department extensively performs surgery and comprehensive treatment for various malignant tumors such as vulvar cancer, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer and ovarian cancer. For early-stage malignant tumors, minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy has been performed for nearly 20 years; especially for young patients with fertility needs, fertility-preserving treatments have been carried out with good results. For patients with advanced or recurrent disease, comprehensive treatment including immunotherapy, targeted therapy and traditional Chinese medicine is provided, and relevant clinical trials are conducted relying on the hospital's GCP laboratory.
2. General gynecology: The department diagnoses and treats uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometrial polyps, submucosal uterine fibroids and reproductive system malformations, with the proportion of minimally invasive surgery reaching as high as 95%. In response to the potential hazard of tumor cell dissemination and implantation during minimally invasive surgery, under the leadership of former Director Ling Bin, the team devoted nearly 10 years of research, innovatively established a minimally invasive tumor-free defense system, developed a protective device for use in laparoscopy, and successfully applied it in clinical practice, successfully realizing the wish for minimally invasive surgery for countless patients from all over the country with giant uterine fibroids, adenomyomas, adenomyosis and ovarian cysts, while ensuring the safety of the operation and opening a new era of safe minimally invasive surgery.
3. Pelvic floor dysfunction diseases: The department innovatively carried out "laparoscopic extraperitoneal abdominal wall linear surgery" for the treatment of middle pelvic compartment defects such as uterine prolapse and vaginal vault prolapse, avoiding complications such as erosion and contracture caused by the use of mesh in traditional surgery, reducing the financial burden on patients; long-term clinical practice has fully verified that this procedure is effective and safe, opening up a brand-new surgical approach for the treatment of pelvic organ prolapse.
4. Cervical Lesion Center: The center carried out cervical lesion screening and early diagnosis relatively early in China and has an independent laboratory, with standardized treatment and rich experience. It has carried out non-invasive treatment of precancerous lesions based mainly on photodynamic therapy, fertility-preserving surgery for early cervical cancer, and comprehensive treatment for advanced disease combining surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy and integrated Chinese and Western medicine, providing patients with all-round management plans.
5. Gynecological endocrinology: The department is skilled in the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of various menstrual disorders, ovulatory dysfunction, polycystic ovary syndrome and perimenopausal syndrome, and has long been combined with TCM gynecology, inheriting the more than 70 years of diagnostic and treatment experience of national masters of Chinese medicine, achieving good therapeutic results for infertility.
6. da Vinci robotic surgery: Robotic surgery offers higher precision and better maneuverability and can perform fine operations in the pelvic and abdominal cavity, which is conducive to functional reconstruction and pelvic lymph node dissection. For difficult and complex operations, the robot's dexterous arms enable more meticulous, stable and high-quality manipulation, helping to reduce surgical complications and achieve a more minimally invasive therapeutic effect.
7. Family planning: The department has a dedicated family planning clinic and a dedicated anesthesia consultation clinic, is a referral hospital in Beijing for severe family planning diseases, and is skilled in managing high-risk pregnancy, scar pregnancy and various high-risk intrauterine device insertion and removal procedures and related uterine and abdominal surgery.
Obstetrics:
1. Opening a high-risk pregnant and postpartum women clinic: The department has rich experience in the diagnosis and treatment of pregnancy complications and medical and surgical comorbidities such as placenta previa, placenta accreta, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and pregnancy complicated by autoimmune diseases.

3. The Obstetrics and Gynecology Ward of the International Department has a labor-delivery integrated delivery room, providing painless delivery and accompanied delivery, offering pregnant women and their families a comfortable and warm childbirth experience.
Existing specialty clinics: The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology currently has 9 related specialty clinics, including gynecological oncology, endometriosis, cervical lesions, uterine fibroids, gynecological endocrinology, family planning, prenatal counseling and obstetric pregnancy and delivery.
Scientific research achievements of the department: The department took the lead in proposing the concept of a "minimally invasive tumor-free defense system" and successfully applied for more than 10 international and domestic patents related to the minimally invasive tumor-free defense system. It pioneered a tumor-free protective device for laparoscopy, which has been widely and successfully applied in laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery for ovarian tumors, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, endometrial cancer and other operations; while minimally invasively reducing patients' trauma and pain, it maximally prevents tumor dissemination and safeguards patients' safety and benefits, ranking at the world's leading level. The department has undertaken multiple research projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as multiple projects of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and hospital-level projects, and is committed to the research, diagnosis and treatment of various malignant tumors such as ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer and uterine sarcoma, as well as disseminated uterine leiomyomatosis. It has been a national drug clinical trial base for more than 20 years and has undertaken clinical trials of multiple new drugs, special drugs and clinical devices.
