Pain Medicine
China-Japan Friendship Hospital’s Pain Department is one of China’s earliest, with 30 years of development. It integrates medical care, teaching, research and rehabilitation, has trained nearly 1,000 visiting physicians and 20 international scholars, and undertakes Peking University pain teaching and national research. Subspecialties include cancer, neuropathic, spine-related and head-and-face pain; the department treats refractory pain with minimally invasive neural and spinal interventions and was an early Chinese provider of spinal cord stimulation and pump-controlled central analgesia.
