The Department of Ultrasound of the Children's Hospital affiliated to Fudan University was established in 1970. Since the department was founded, the examinations offered have steadily increased and have been continuously updated in step with the times; examination sites include the cranium and brain, head and neck, chest and lungs, abdomen, musculoskeletal joints and soft tissues, among many other sites and organs.

Main Focus ———

The department's areas of strength are ultrasound diagnosis of neonatal cranial and brain diseases, neonatal lung diseases, congenital malformations of the genitourinary system, pediatric hepatobiliary diseases, and musculoskeletal and joint diseases. It has distinctive insights in the diagnosis and follow-up of biliary atresia, ultrasound diagnosis of neonatal lung diseases, multimodal ultrasound assessment of liver lesions in children, and the diagnosis and follow-up of vesicoureteral reflux.
