Laboratory Medicine

The Clinical Laboratory Department of Boao Super Hospital is a comprehensive clinical laboratory center integrating clinical laboratory testing, specially licensed innovative medical testing, and the translation of scientific research achievements into practice. It currently has 6 professional and technical staff members, including 1 deputy chief laboratory technologist, 2 supervising laboratory technologists, and 3 laboratory technologists, with a well-structured professional talent team. At present, the department has more than 20 advanced laboratory instruments, including a Beckman biochemical and immunoassay automation line from the United States, a Sysmex CS-5100 fully automated blood coagulation analyzer from Japan, a Roche Diagnostics Cobas X480 fully automated nucleic acid separation and purification instrument, and a Cobas Z480 real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR analyzer. It can perform routine testing of blood and various body fluids; blood coagulation testing, and quantitative determination of fibrinogen degradation products and D-dimer; testing of liver function, renal function, myocardial enzyme profiles, rheumatology panels, diabetes panels, lipids, and ions; infectious disease screening, antinuclear antibody profiling, and reproductive health and prenatal/postnatal care testing; tumor markers, hormones, and hypertension panels; and quantitative testing of high-sensitivity HBV-DNA and HCV-RNA, HLA-B27 gene testing, deafness gene testing, and pharmacogenomic testing.
