Beijing Friendship Hospital is a public Class A tertiary general hospital founded in 1952. Its International Medical Center operates at the Xicheng and Tongzhou campuses with an international clinic, a health check-up center and a medical aesthetics center, and works with domestic and foreign insurers. Boao Super Hospital is a state-holding tertiary general hospital and the first hospital to open in the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone, operating since 31 March 2018 with 150 open beds. It runs a '1+X' shared-platform model hosting 23 academician- and expert-led clinical teams, and has introduced 189 licensed drugs and devices (特许药械) approved abroad but not yet registered in mainland China. The website is in Chinese only and no dedicated international patient desk is published.

Clifford Hospital in Panyu, founded in 2001 by a Hong Kong group, is a private Grade 3A hospital integrating Chinese and Western medicine. It states it was the first large Grade 3A integrated hospital in China to pass JCI accreditation and is one of Guangdong's first pilot hospitals for international medical services. Its International Department publishes an email, an overseas hotline and WhatsApp.

Grade 3A teaching hospital founded in 1930 with Changchun Road, Lianhe Road and Jinpu campuses. Its International Medical Department (former VIP medical department, est. 2002) offers specialist clinics, premium check-ups and international medical coordination, and lists about 30 international assistance/insurance partners such as MSH and SOS.

Guangzhou United Family Hospital opened to patients in 2018 at 31 Pazhou Avenue in Haizhu District. The hospital has a total building area of over 60,000 square meters and more than 100 beds, delivering services from internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology and pediatrics to TCM and 24-hour emergency care, with intensive and neonatal intensive care units, a birthing center and full radiology including MRI and CT. It direct-bills most major insurance carriers and publishes WhatsApp and WeChat contact numbers alongside the group's 24-hour service center.

Parkway Shanghai Hospital is a 450-bed private general hospital in the New Hongqiao International Medical Center (Minhang District), opened on 18 February 2023. It is a Sino-foreign joint venture codeveloped by Parkway Pantai (IHH Healthcare) with Shanghai Hongxin Medical Investment Holding and Taikang Insurance Group, and is a Shanghai medical-insurance designated hospital. The ParkwayHealth brand has operated in Shanghai since 2004; its network also includes Parkway MediCentre Xintiandi, Parkway Medical & Dental Clinic Biyun and Parkway Medical Clinic Gubei. Direct billing is offered with more than 60 insurers.

Peking Union Medical College Hospital is a public Class A tertiary general hospital in central Beijing. Its International Medical Services (IMS) has served embassy staff and foreigners since 1951 and runs its own outpatient, emergency and inpatient areas at the Dongdan campus. IMS has dedicated booking lines for foreigners and embassies and direct billing with about 30 commercial insurers.

Peking University Shenzhen Hospital in Futian runs a Special Clinic & International Medical Department that serves foreign visitors and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots. The department offers VIP check-ups, specialist clinics and cashless direct billing with several domestic and international insurers. No dedicated international phone or email is published; use the switchboard.

Raffles Hospital Beijing is a small private hospital in Chaoyang District, operated by Singapore-listed Raffles Medical Group. The group states it was established in 1994 as a medical centre and converted into a hospital in 2020, with a 21-bed capacity as a tier 1 hospital. It runs a 24-hour service line and a 24-hour emergency line.

Shenzhen People's Hospital, founded in 1946, is Shenzhen's oldest and largest municipal hospital. In 2026 it was named one of 25 first-batch Guangdong pilot hospitals for international medical services. Its International Medical Department (24,000 m²) covers 38 specialties with 52 international beds, multilingual service and direct billing with international insurers and TPAs.

Founded in 1910, FAH-SYSU is a large university hospital with Yuexiu (main), Huangpu and Nansha campuses and 36 national clinical key specialties. Its English International Medicine page lists registration, result-inquiry and check-up lines at the main campus. A separate International Medical Center opened at the Nansha campus in 2023 with 150 beds and commercial-insurance direct billing.

Tongji Hospital is a large public university hospital in Wuhan, designated by Hubei and Wuhan authorities for foreign patients. Its International Medical Services, set up in 2012 at the Hankou campus with a second unit at the Optical Valley campus since 2022, offer outpatient, inpatient, surgery, rehabilitation and health-management services with one-to-one specialist appointments and full translation. It reports cooperation with overseas medical, assistance and insurance organisations, including direct billing.

West China Lecheng Hospital, Sichuan University (also called Hainan Haikong Lecheng Hospital) is a non-profit general hospital in the Boao Lecheng pilot zone, invested by Hainan Development Holdings and fully managed by West China Hospital of Sichuan University; it opened in November 2024 with 200 phase-one beds. Its centers cover biomedicine/cell therapy, stomatology (experts from West China Hospital of Stomatology), health management, day treatment and oncology innovation. An International Medical Center page in English addresses patients worldwide, and licensed imported drugs and devices are available under the pilot-zone policy.

Xiamen Chang Gung Hospital in Haicang was established in 2008 by Formosa Plastics founder Wang Yung-ching and is a Taiwan-invested Grade 3A general hospital, sister to Taiwan's Chang Gung hospitals. It runs a Taiwan Compatriot Service Center that helps Taiwanese patients with appointments and Taiwan NHI reimbursement paperwork. Several specialists are visiting Taiwanese physicians.

Zhongshan Hospital Xiamen University, founded in 1928, is a Grade 3A general hospital in Siming with four national key clinical specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedics and Gastroenterology. Its International Medical Center opened in June 2025 with a 24-hour reception hotline, outpatient rooms, a check-up center and dedicated wards. The hospital's commercial-insurance service center connects directly with many insurers.
