Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery

I. Department Introduction The Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery of Liaoning Provincial People's Hospital was founded in 1984 by Professor Gao Jingheng, a renowned Chinese plastic surgeon. It was one of the earliest professional departments of plastic and aesthetic surgery established in the three northeastern provinces of China. It was subsequently designated by the Provincial Department of Health as a “Provincial Key Department,” the “Liaoning Medical Aesthetics (Clinical Training) Center,” and the “Liaoning Repair and Reconstruction Center.” Since its establishment, the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery has conducted research on facial ligaments, the superficial musculoaponeurotic system, the facial nerve, and the anatomy of the temporal region. It has also carried out experimental development research on the clinical application of injected collagen and the biological properties of medical polyacrylamide hydrogel, and holds a leading position in China in the field of soft-tissue filling materials. At present, the Department's clinical treatment scope encompasses all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery and plastic and aesthetic surgery. It is also one of the first standardized residency training bases for plastic surgery in Liaoning Province. II.
