Plastic Surgery
Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, was established in 1994. When the hospital opened, Yu Yusheng and Li Hua jointly established its Department of Plastic Surgery and together performed the first operation in the hospital's history. Since its founding, the department has followed the service philosophy of offering patients sincerity, confidence and care, drawing on its professional expertise to provide high-quality plastic surgical care. It has developed into a clinical centre combining patient care, research and teaching. The department currently has more than 30 physicians, including a combined total of three supervisors of doctoral or master's students, four Chief Physicians and more than ten Associate Chief Physicians. Chief Physician Tan Weiqiang leads the plastic surgery degree programme at Zhejiang University School of Medicine and has headed the department since November 2020.
