Department of Medical Imaging The Department of Medical Imaging at Shanghai United Family Hospital provides a full range of contrast imaging services. Our digital technology can transmit captured images via computer for global medical consultations. Our imaging department is equipped with advanced imaging technology, including a Siemens X-ray machine. Our X-ray machine can perform a range of imaging procedures, from simple to complex, and provides high-quality performance to assist our team of technical and medical experts in brain imaging and tumor differentiation. The imaging department is equipped with color Doppler ultrasound and CT (computed tomography) equipment. In addition, we can also perform mammography. The Department of Radiology works with pediatricians and anesthesiologists to provide magnetic resonance examinations under general anesthesia, with monitoring by a vital-signs monitor specifically designed for magnetic resonance imaging, for children under 5 years of age, patients with claustrophobia, and other seriously ill patients who require sedation or anesthesia. Since this service was introduced, 17 cases have been successfully performed to date.
