Ultrasound Interventional Ward
The Ultrasound Interventional Department is a modern clinical department integrating precision diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment. Using advanced real-time ultrasound imaging guidance, it provides precise, safe, efficient and personalized diagnosis and treatment. Since 2001, our ultrasound intervention team has worked deeply in interventional ultrasound diagnosis and treatment and accumulated extensive clinical experience. On February 22, 2022, the ultrasound intervention ward officially opened and advanced together with the Minimally Invasive Intervention Department. It opened 5+X beds (5 regular beds and several shared beds), further expanding the department’s service capacity. The department has a high-quality medical team including 3 chief physicians, 2 deputy chief physicians and 3 master’s supervisors; all physicians hold at least a master’s degree. It has an ultrasound intervention ward and outpatient clinic; three ultrasound intervention operating rooms built to outpatient operating-room standards; and five ultrasound contrast examination and intervention consultation rooms. Its complete hardware provides comprehensive medical services. The department offers minimally invasive ultrasound-guided diagnosis and treatment for diseases of all systems, with more than 15,000 patient visits annually. Its main services include: 1. Tumor ablation: ultrasound-guided radiofrequency and microwave ablation of tumors in organs including hepatocellular carcinoma, metastatic cancer, benign thyroid nodules, thyroid microcarcinoma, uterine fibroids and adenomyosis, primary and secondary hyperparathyroidism, and renal tumors, precisely eliminating lesions with minimally invasive methods and reducing suffering. 2. Needle biopsy: needle biopsies of tumors and parenchymal-organ lesions throughout the body, providing an accurate basis for diagnosis. 3. Needle aspiration and catheter drainage: ultrasound-guided aspiration and catheter drainage for biliary tract disease, urinary-system disease and various fluid-accumulation lesions, effectively relieving symptoms and promoting recovery. 4. Sclerotherapy of cystic lesions: sclerotherapy for cystic lesions of the abdomen, superficial organs and gynecology, resolving pain through minimally invasive methods. The department actively promotes the multidisciplinary team (MDT) model and works closely with breast and thyroid surgery, minimally invasive intervention, gastrointestinal surgery, oncology, hepatobiliary surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, nephrology and urology. Through MDT discussions and conventional/minimally invasive combined operations, it provides comprehensive plans for difficult cases. We provide standardized one-stop care throughout the entire process, from ultrasound intervention outpatient consultation, consultation and assessment, and surgery to postoperative follow-up, safeguarding patients’ health through excellent technology and attentive service.
