Outpatient Department III
The Third Outpatient Department of the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Nanjing University Medical School (Nanjing Stomatological Hospital) was established on March 26, 2006. It is located at No. 69 Zhanjiang Road, Gulou District, beside the east gate of Suning Qianqiu Qingyuan, and has more than 200 square meters of clinical space. All medical and nursing staff were selected and transferred from the main campus of Nanjing Stomatological Hospital. They have extensive clinical experience and excellent medical skills. The team includes 5 deputy chief physicians, 1 senior attending physician, 5 charge nurses, 1 nurse, and 1 nursing assistant. The outpatient department is equipped with advanced medical equipment, including 6 high-end dental treatment chairs, a Carestream dental X-ray machine, a digital panoramic machine, a dental implant machine, an ultrasonic bone knife, a pneumatic dental elevator, an endodontic measuring instrument, a nickel-titanium root-canal treatment device, an ultrasonic scaler, an imported electrosurgical knife, a high-speed turbine for minimally invasive extraction dedicated to oral surgery, an LED light-curing unit, a root-canal microscope, and other advanced equipment. It provides comprehensive services across all dental specialties. Conditions treated include esthetic restoration of anterior teeth, dental caries and pulp disease, periodontal treatment, extraction of impacted teeth, dental implants, complex denture restoration, orthodontic correction of difficult cases of malocclusion, and surgical planning and orthodontic treatment for maxillofacial deformities. The department has strong technical capabilities. Its registration and billing systems are networked with the main hospital and use unified charging standards. It is a designated institution for provincial and municipal public medical expenses and medical insurance. A complete set of imported sterilization equipment has been introduced. In strict accordance with the standards of the National Health Ministry, the department implements “one handpiece per person,” “one person, one use, one sterilization,” and one pair of gloves and one disposable examination tray per person, effectively preventing cross-infection. Dental instruments and materials are selected from high-end products made by well-known domestic and international companies to ensure medical quality and safety. We advocate “proactive, warm, honest, and responsible” care and provide the public with a comprehensive, convenient, skilled, and standardized platform for dental medical services.
