The Department of Ophthalmology of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University is a national-level clinical key specialty, a key discipline of Heilongjiang Province, and a doctoral training site in ophthalmology. The Refractive Surgery Clinic was established in 2001 and is one of the earliest medical units in Heilongjiang Province to perform refractive surgery. The department is equipped with advanced treatment and examination devices, including a femtosecond laser full-platform surgical system, an excimer laser treatment system, a three-dimensional anterior segment measurement and evaluation system, a visualized corneal biomechanical analyzer, a wavefront aberrometry examination and analysis system, an anterior segment photography system, a fully automatic comprehensive refractometer, a fully automatic non-contact tonometer, and an ocular A-scan and corneal curvature measurement instrument, among others. These devices provide precise and reliable technical and data support for the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases.
The Second Refractive Surgery Clinic is a medical team integrating medical care, teaching, and scientific research. It has strong medical expertise and robust clinical and research capabilities. The team consists of experienced chief physicians/doctoral supervisors, attending physicians, nurse-in-charge, as well as young doctors with doctoral and master's degrees. In recent years, the team has led or participated in 6 national-level projects, 4 provincial-level projects, and 1 municipal-level project; participated in compiling 1 textbook published by the People's Medical Publishing House in the People's Education Press edition; and trained 3 doctoral students and 11 master's students.
