Burns/Medical Cosmetology Department Chongqing Medical University First Affiliated Hospital’s Burns/Medical Cosmetology Department was established in 1987, and in 2002 was awarded the title of "Chongqing Plastic and Aesthetic Center" by the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission, developing into a high-quality plastic and aesthetic diagnosis and treatment platform with "one hospital and two campuses." Two clinical areas, Yuanjiagang and Jinshan, have been established, comprehensively providing plastic surgery, wound repair, reconstruction of body-surface organs, laser cosmetology, injection cosmetology, and other diagnosis and treatment services.
The department has more than 40 medical and nursing staff, including 10 staff members with senior professional titles, 7 master’s supervisors, 3 postdoctoral researchers, 8 doctors, and 8 master’s degree holders. Our department is a national committee member institution of the Plastic Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and a national committee member institution of the Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Physician Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association; a master’s/doctoral degree-conferring site for Surgery (Plastic Surgery and Burn Surgery); and a standardized residency training base for Surgery (Plastic Surgery) in Chongqing. Over the years, it has trained more than 200 master’s students in plastic surgery and has recruited high-level young talent and young top talent for the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University.
Over the past ten years, our department has performed more than 100,000 plastic surgery procedures and provided photoelectric treatments to hundreds of thousands of people. It enjoys a high reputation within the industry and has received unanimous praise from patients. Our medical staff have received honors including "Chongqing’s Top Ten Aesthetic Surgeons," "Good Doctor Who Learns from Qian De’s Spirit," "Surgical Skills Expert," and "Golden Lancet Young Surgeon" of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. Through warm nursing services, the department has become one of the hospital’s "Five-Heart Quality Nursing Units." It has undertaken research on multiple projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, Municipal Science and Technology Commission projects, institutional and departmental funds, and postdoctoral funds; and has participated in compiling multiple relevant monographs. The department has a profound cultural heritage, a first-class technical team, a shared diagnosis and treatment platform, and advanced instruments and equipment, fully ensuring medical safety and efficacy. It is a plastic and aesthetic platform integrating clinical care, teaching, and scientific research, providing the general public seeking beauty with safe, effective, and standardized plastic and aesthetic services of various types.
