Proficient in cerebral protection strategies during cardiac and great-vessel surgery, with extensive experience in managing low cardiac output syndrome after valve surgery in older patients with severe disease, as well as anticoagulation and rehabilitation after cardiac surgery. Familiar with the use and management of critical care techniques including bedside ultrasound, fibreoptic bronchoscopy, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), intra-aortic balloon pumping (IABP) and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
