Specializes in diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, acute and chronic renal failure, and secondary kidney diseases (such as systemic lupus erythematosus); especially skilled in blood purification and creation and maintenance of vascular access, including arteriovenous fistula creation, temporary and long-term deep venous catheterization, balloon dilation and thrombectomy of arteriovenous fistulas; treatment of complications such as uremic renal anemia, renal hypertension, and renal osteodystrophy; peritoneal dialysis catheter placement and management of complications; and adjustment of dialysis regimens.
